Clessidra is above all the history of a family. Francesco and Emanuela are Italians who have been working and living in Asia (Shanghai, Hong Kong and now Singapore) since 1997.
Francesco is from Sansepolcro, Tuscany, the land of art, food and wine, and Emanuela is from Como, with beautiful landscapes and love for lifestyle and fashion. Having spent most of their professional careers in fashion and lifestyle, when they arrived in Singapore in 2011 they decided to start Clessidra.
At Clessidra we are a group of people who are in love with what we do. Everything started back in our home country with family meals and tasting food and wine that came directly from the farmer and the producer. That is the real Italian lifestyle that we now want to bring, communicate and spread in Singapore. These are the people behind our fantastic products.
We have been spending a great deal of time hopping from one vineyard to the other, from one
producer to another, gaining friends and access to the latest developments and newest products in our quest to make the world of fine Italian wine and food a more knowledgeable and enjoyable one!

In working with small, family-owned companies we are not just ensuring that the wine and the food is great, but we are working to protect a way of life that has been preserved through generations and that we are now proud to bring to Asia.
By doing this we connect the people who make the wine and the food with those who enjoy it, by telling the story of each artisan, their family, and their estate. We do this because we believe the story of the wine and food is just as important as the wine and the food themselves. Its a reflection of the place they come from and the people who make them!
