ABOUT LONGITUDE ENGINEERING

Our Company

Longitude Engineering was founded by a leading international marine warranty surveying consultancy in 2006. Over the last 27 years, this parent company built up a large base of skills and experience which they decided to collate to form a dedicated engineering design company called Longitude Engineering. Since then, Longitude has opened offices in Singapore, United States, United Kingdom and Mexico and has a full time staff of 25, backed-up by a network of specialist freelance engineers and technical staff.


Our Business

Longitude Engineering is a specialist engineering consultancy dedicated to providing marine design and analysis services to the marine, offshore, renewable energy, superyacht and small craft market sectors. Our aim is to provide field operators, installation contractors, vessel owners and others involved in the industry with all the maritime engineering assistance they require to ensure their projects are successful.


Our People and Experience

We are staffed by naval architects, structural engineers, composite engineers and marine engineers all with extensive experience of the offshore, marine, superyacht and small craft industries gained whilst working in a broad spectrum of the maritime industry. This experience includes working in design companies, fabricators, shipyards, superyacht builders, small craft builders and classification societies.

We consider our most important assets to be our people, our independence and our reputation. Longitude is a compact company specialising in design and analysis of marine structures. Our size means we are not burdened with large company overheads and we are flexible enough to set up project teams to meet the specific requirements of our clients.

Our team of naval architects and structural engineers have collectively gained comprehensive knowledge
and experience in a wide range of markets, whilst performing in roles within design offices, shipyards, major
offshore contractors, classification societies and small craft/ superyacht yards or consultants.

We can offer a unique advantage to clients in both the range of experience available as well as in-depth knowledge of the entire design cycle from preliminary analysis through to detailed design and drawings, third party approval, construction and final classification and statutory certification.
