STARINDO CAPRICORN SHIPPING PTE LTD represents a group of companies specialising in various aspects of shipping, including tug and barge operation, time charter management, and shipbuilding.

Our shipyard, CAPRICORN CENTRAL SHIPBUILDING SDN BHD is conveniently located in the Industrial area of Sibu, Sarawak, a region reputed for quality shipbuilding. As Shipowner and Operator, we understand that in addition to usability, vessels need to be lasting and efficiently maintained. This is why we ensure that our tugboats are designed to be operationally efficient, and constructed using high quality materials approved by the relevant classification societies.

We currently own and operate a fleet of our own Tugboats and Barges in various sizes, managed by our Operating Company PT. PELAYARAN JASA SAMUDERA SHIPPING (PJSS), with its headquarter in Pekanbaru, Sumatra Indonesia. Since its establishment in 2002, PJSS has grown to be one of the leading companies in Tug and Barge Transportation in Sumatra with an
expanding fleet. Our active operational involvement range from materialshandling for the Industrial Plants, Pulp and Paper Mills, to aggregate transportation for Quarries and Coal Mines in Indonesia. Going beyond Indonesia, our vessel routes also include neighbouring countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Thailand.

In addition to Shipping and Shipbuilding, our business also includes logistics services such as materials handling, construction of infrastructure, and land transportation. Under THE SARINDO GROUP, which was established in 1984, our group companies specialise in contracting services for the timber industry. In providing logistics services to international pulp and paper manufacturers such as those belonging to the Sinar Mas Group and the April Asia Group ofcompanies, we have set ourselves apart as a reliable service provider in various stages of timber production including harvesting, materials handling, trucking, stacking, loading and unloading and so on. While we started out with handling mostly wood and wood chips, we have since extended our services to handling other materials such as coal, iron ore, quarry stones, and various other minerals.
