About Us
Sunto Gyoza started in 1998 at Maxwell Market. We started the business with one simple philosophy: passion. This simple one-word philosophy encompasses many things. Most important of these include a passion for the Gyoza () and a passion to serve this delicious morsel to anyone who enjoys it. These are followed by a deep fascination for the simple dough made of water and flour, which gave rise to other related products like the Taiwanese Spring Onion Pancake and our very own concoction - the Red Bean Pancake. Here at Sunto Gyoza, you will also notice our emphasis on good personal and food hygiene so that you will feel safe and comfortable partaking of our food.
We feel that no number of words can describe us without being boring. The best way to know all about us would be to "come taste our ware". After all, the reason for our existence is to satisfy your palates!
WHAT IS THE GYOZA?

Well, ?Gyoza is used by the Japanese and is a translation of the words ?. ?Guotie, on the other hand, is used widely in China, Taiwan and Singapore, and is the pinyin translation of ?, which means ?sticking to the pan. By now, you could well guess how the term ?Potstickers came about. The latter is used mainly in North America where the Chinese migrants have brought the delicacy there and popularized it among Americans who ?eat Chinese in Chinatown restaurants.
