In the early 80s, its founder Mr Patrick Eng set-up a team to develop the shipping application software based on UK oldest shipping company, OCL Containers requirements.

The software team was then led by Ms Eng Hwee Hwa who commanded a team of software specialists who are not only technology savvy, but also understand shipping operations, processors and accounting

In 2004, Mr Patrick Eng has been instrumental in charting the directions of the company and through his foresight saw the opportunity, conceptualize and harness the availability of internet connection to launch the highly popular M-Ship Application Software into An easy-to-use web-based model.

In 2008, Ms Eng Hwee Hwa took over the reins as Managing Director of Sysquest Technology Pte Ltd when Mr Patrick Eng went into retirement on medical grounds. With more than 20 years of IT and shipping experience, Ms Eng successfully led the company into the new generation of SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) in 2009, with customers logging in from Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia.

In 2013, Sysquest inducted Mr Hendrick Tan as a partner to further the growth in business development. Mr Hendrick Tan is a veteran in the computer industry, starting his career during the early days of Information Technology in 1982, as a Software Programmer. He soon entered into the foray of the shipping industry with his first experience in managing the shipping project with Evergreen Shipping Lines and Singapore Soviet Shipping in 1984. He has much experience leading highly qualified system engineers to manage major system integration projects. Mr Hendrick Tan graduated with a UK Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in Business and Management Studies which complements his strong foundation in software development.
