A handful of giants OTAs (Online Travel Agents) have the hotel industry by the throat.
Hotels are forced to pay commissions as high as 40% or more.
High fees from OTAs further erode profitability of hotels.
Search results are commission-based, meaning an unlevel playing field.
OTAs bid on hotel names, user overwhelmed by ads from OTAs.
