Yew Cheong Welding was started in 1962 by the late Mr. Charlie Lai Yew Fatt as a fabrication and welding workshop. The incorporation of Yew Cheong (Asiapac) Pte Ltd in 1976, the company diversified in to supply and after sales service for welding products, consumables, and Industrial gas.

With the steady growth of business, new products: Cryogenic, Metal Working Machines and Medical Apparatus were added to expand and complement the existing range, increasing the cutsomer-base into neighbouring ASEAN. In 1992 the company was restructured and renamed as Yew Cheong (Asiapac) Pte Ltd.

Today Yew Cheong (Asiapac) Pte Ltd has established as ASEAN's integrated Supplier and Franchise of Products and Consumables, Gases and Croygenic, Metal Working Machines and Medical Apparatus from America, China, Japan, Denmark, England, Germany, Holland, India, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia and Taiwan to serve the Steel Fabrication; Engineering; Shipyard; Offshore; Construction; PetroChemical; and Pharmaceutical Industries.
